Considered to be one of the most influential psychedelic chemists of the 20th century, Shulgin synthesized more than 200 new psychedelic compounds during his career, and personally tested them out on himself, his wife Ann Shulgin, and some of their closest friends. This documentary takes a look at his life’s work and brings viewers on a personal tour through the Shulgins’ quirky home, including the makeshift laboratory that gave birth to many psychedelics that are still used to this day.
