London Lights

London Lights originated as a couple of guys, Joe Lipton and Marvin Chanes, building some simple light boxes (Christmas lights behind a prismatic plastic screen) and selling them around the Woodmere, New York area to Headshops and gift stores.

They brought Marc Rubenstein (Pig Light Show) in to do a concert at a school in Woodmere sometime around 1967-68 and soon after started their own Light Show.

In late 1970, around December Joe, Marvin, Robert Cohen, Sandy Frank and Lisa Cherry were absorbed into Pig Light Show until early Spring 1973 when they left to become the house Light Show at The Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey using equipment bought from Marc Rubenstein (Pig Light Show).
