Circle and Damo Suzuki

We missed them last year when they supported Acid Mothers Temple on their legendary We Are Here Tour so we were not going to miss out again, as soon as we received the tour dates from Chunky we marked up the diary.

For the uninitiated, Circle play a dark and powerful blend of modern day Krautrock fused with experimental hypnotic trance in their own highly original and inimitable style.

They have recorded 10 albums since 1994 and are also involved in offshoot projects such as Ektroverde, so tonight was rare chance to see them play in the UK.

Don’t ask me what the set-list was, as although I am a big fan and have 5 or 6 of their albums I could NEVER remember those song titles...!!

Here instead are some photo’s of the mighty Circle in action, as well as some pictures of Damo Suzuki (Ex Can) who headlined tonight’s gig and played a powerful and mesmerising set featuring one of the hottest guitarists we have seen for a while and also a VERY weird looking electric violin...

I will say that me and Boris were totally blown away by the whole thing...
