Petite Mall Lites

Bullfrog 2 was a Music Festival due to be held at the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Oregon over the weekend of August 21st, 22nd, 23rd 1969 but at the last minute a Judge intervened and said ' facilities at the Columbia County fairground are not adequate for overnight camping, that sufficient sanitiation facilities are lacking, and that adequate traffic direction is not available'

On Sunday, August 24th, 1969 several hundred Hippies 'invaded' Plaza Squae in St Helens, Oregon to protest about Bullfrog 2 being cancelled and a mini event of some sort took place with Portland Zoo playing a live set.

The event went peacefully with no trouble and instead a new event named Bullfrog 3 took place at Yankton Farm, St Helens.

The poster below was for the original event so I cannot be sure that Petite Mall Lites (brilliant name!!) ended up doing the Light Show at the new location.

I would of course have asked Gary Ewing to verify this but sadly he is no longer with us so...
