How you got into doing lightshows?
Initially inspired by a Kinetic Art Exhibition on Brighton Pier during my school days (1970) and thereafter at Whirl-y-Gig, I was asked by various clubs to supply lighting and light shows.
Who was your main influence, if any?
Pink Floyd Lighting (Peter Wayne Wilson) with Oils.

Can you share any amusing Lightshow related stories that wont land you in Court?
Trying to do a Light show at the most prestigious private venue in London (1 Belgravia - SW1) on the Longest day in 27º of heat.
Show starts at 7.30pm (Still Light Outside) They request that ALL the floor to ceiling shutters remain open. Would I be able to increase the projection? Not much projection till after dark !
What equipment you started out using, why you used it and what you changed to?
Started Using Optikinetics 2 x Solar 250's in strip Club in Soho for 6 months earning money as a Student.
Never changed to other Manufacturer.
Still using: OptiKinetics Projectors
What non standard objects/items were used in the quest for 'better effects'?
Mainly 70-120 Docter Lenses on all 42mm Projectors (Solar 250 Range)
Swarovski Heart oval crystal in front of lens
