I started with liquid lights around 2004 and the name Liquid Biupil is a coined word with liquid symmetry. After the dissolution of the lighting unit that started in 2004 the activity started in 2009 under the name of Liquid Biupil. My original experience with Liquid Light was a TV documentary program I watched when I was three years old, but what fascinated me was the special effects movies such as Ultraman, Ultra Q, and Godzilla that were being broadcast at that time. We have worked with Acid Mothers Temple, Keiji Haino, Marble Sheep, Orga you asshole, Guru Guru, Damo Suzuki, Faust, Spacemen3, Rechard Pinnas, Agitation Free, Earthless, etc. We often receive offers from to cooperate with others from underground parties, such as the annual Acid Mothers Temple Festival. The members are constantly changing, but many of the co-stars have since continued to be liquid lights as solo artists. At one gig there was a slide projector equipped with a 1000 watt halogen lamp that lost all power. After all, that day I was in charge of only beer, not liquids !!. We started out using one OHP with a 400 watt halogen lamp specification. We also use home made strobe shutters and kaleidoscope lenses so now our Light Shows are usually held with 3 OHPs and 1 or 2 slides projectors. Akira Sato (June 2021) |
