Liquid Light Show Maastricht |
My project is called Liquid Light Show Maastricht, I'm not living in Maastricht anymore and not doing it so much. Still, great effort and I'd like to contribute! I first saw a liquid lightshow at a party once and the idea always stuck around in my head. At one point I just decided to buy an overhead projector and start trying it out. The people at the party in Eindhoven where I first saw a liquid light show seeded the idea. A YouTube tutorial really helped me sort out the practicals. Also, everytime I do a show I get loads of people giving ideas. Mostly I work with some local bands, DJ's and house parties. My biggest gig was a Drum and Bass party where we filmed the show and projected it live to a screen behind the DJ. The main act was T and Suga I started playing at home, my goal was to also play at events, which I quite frequently did. Everytime I did it I got creative input from people around me. People really like it and get very creative with it. I'm still doing it pretty much the same way as when I started, but I did grow more experience as to how much of each component to add in. I found straws are really good for blowing the contents around! One time my lightshow started a dance where I was swooshing around the liquids and a group of 5 people were dancing in front of the projection following the liquid's trajectory :-) I started with a portable projector, but that didn't have a very powerful light so I also got myself a large projector to be able to do large projections so now I have two projectors.
