The Dr Who Lightshow operated from Colchester Essex from 24th April 1971 till about 1978 when I moved into my disco shop Orion Lighting in Colchester.
The lighting gear was used to demo lights in the shop until production needs took over.
The needs of the Light Show were instrumental in my creating the continuous picture wheels such as the original Space panorama and the Streak Wheels.
The Doctor Who Light Show originated from the need for lights of my band "Natures Way", and Orion Lighting came about due to DJ's wanting lights for their discos.
The Light Show then took off as a seperate operation to the band, sometimes sharing gigs, frequently not.
