Bill Ham (Light Sound Dimension)

 
 

Light Sound Dimension was one of THE first psychedelic light shows on the Rock n Roll scene and was operated by the legendary Bill Ham.

Bill pioneered kinetic lighting and actually used this technique at the Red Dog Saloon back in 1965.

It was also at the Red Dog Saloon where Chet Helms first met Bill and asked him to produce light shows at the Avalon Ballroom.

Much copied and obviously a huge influence over the many light shows that sprang up all over the USA and the UK, Bill Ham still runs a massive light show (see pictures below)

Trivia: At a recent Mouse and Kelley Art Show someone from the audience asked them
“How did you guys begin?”

“It was at Bill Hams House on Pine St” they both answered...
